Location: Domain inside the Crystal Castle.
Adamas while he tracked the progress of the team had been shocked and surprised by the effectiveness of his latest attackers.
Magus employed the magic of his amulet to call out to the other members of his team, “We have freed the captives and recovered the scroll, the time is now to make haste with our egress!”
Adamas agreed. He flew from the clawed grip of the Sl’sssk. He went up and over, launching multiple attacks at the Ximix and Sl'sssk with his autofire attack, split evenly between them.
ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP!
Energy blanketed the two Demons. Armor and toughness withstood the onslaught when 7 of the 10 blast struck them.
Adamas reached out to DarkStar using the amulet, unaware of what maybe going on outside of the Castle, "Is the package secure?"
“Urumph … Affirmative!” was the reply.
Adamas felt it was imperative to capture Occult, as she may be their only method of finding/saving Agent America. Obviously with the Sl'sssk masquerading as Ion, they were aware anyone coming would be looking for him.
Adamas flew over to where she laid. Before he arrived a huge image of a face appeared above her. “Occult, where are my Four Earth Generals? The vanguard of my invasion force has been launched. Two of the three Pylon Siphons are in place.”
“You have failed me again! That will not be tolerated!”
The creature’s eyes began to glow. Occult’s body began to glow in the same color and hue. Her body slowly disintegrated into vapor and floated up into the mouth of the face.
The face looked across the room. “So Earth’s Defenders have come to the Domain. Enjoy your victory for it will be your last!”
The image faded away.
Adamas looked to Magus to see if he had seen the image as well. Magus indicated he had.
"Hey Darkstuff how goes it on the outside? Looks like we're on our way to you." The Cure thought to DarkStar.
DarkStar quick mind slipped a picture of his current situation to the young lady and replied, "You know me Ms. Nightingale ... always making new friends ... arrgh ... "
The Cure replied, "That's just great. Can't take you anywhere." Not happy about leaving this fight unfinished, Mary knew she must help DS. With the amulet Mary contacted the Team. "Darknuts has his hands full.”
“I'm going to try and help to protect our four castaways. You guys might want to come with. Hey guys don't forget Mr. D and let's be smart this time."
DarkStar IC thought, " arrgh ... Nightingale ... urumph ... I'm good sister, stick to the plan, protect ... roooar ... the bookworm and bunny, bring AA home."
"Big A ,Magnuts and the 6ft bunny are in good hands with the all powerful Mr.D. I'm on my way to you. By the way that was not AA!" The Cure thought.

"Sleestax and violence fill the room my buddy." Elwood slowly approached the edge of the upper level and he saw Mary exiting while she projected an image through their magical amulets. "Why I do believe our nurse is going in the direction of Charlie's, and frankly I could use a more hospitable atmosphere so what do you say Harvey?" Elwood lifted his flask to his ear and giving it a shake, seemed satisfied enough to open the top but before he could bring it to his lips he was suddenly floating through air and briskly heading out of the crowded room. "Ho Ho! Away we go!"
Magus had found himself stuck at the crossroads of a moral dilemma. His new female teammate; The Cure, was surrounded by a group of spear wielding demonic creatures, his other teammate; Adamas, was similarly pinned down by an even larger pack of demonic creatures, the groups reluctant leader, Agent America, was missing and may have been captured, and his recently reformed group of cosmic defenders had now taken on the additional responsibility of safely providing a small group of recently liberated prisoners with a trans-dimensional escape from this dark and hostile realm.
Seeing The Cure take care of herself and Adamas freed from the grip of the changeling, Magus weighed the remaining options lay out before him. Magus decided that the best course of action would be to secure the safety of the team members around him from further attacks before concerning himself with the needs of anyone else. Rationalizing that without the other members of his team in one piece, he wouldn’t be able to help any of the others. Seeing how the recently revealed Changeling dealt such a savage blow to Adamas while in its Sl’sssk form, Magus decided it would be best if he attacked that creature first before it could change again. Hopefully this would eliminate any possibility of it pursuing them.
Still flying high above the chambers floor, Magus reached out with both hands, took aim at the demonic doppelganger’s rear flank, and let loose with another double-blast of his Mystic Bolts spell.

Both bolts struck the demon hitting its exposed unarmored skin. The Sl’sssk bellowed in pain.
The remaining rescuers flew out of the Crystal Castle chamber.
The Cure arrived to find DarkStar on his hands and knees. He was alone. The rest of The Team arrived soon after.
With reluctance they entered the portal to return home.
When they entered they found the Mansion under construction. The exterior of the building had been repaired. The outside grounds were still be patrolled by the Safeguard. 3 weeks had passed on Earth since they had left.
Dr. Avery explained the Domain had invaded Hallowed Hills. Dr Apocalypse had gone with The Chosen to help repel the Demon hoard.
Agents of FISH were there as well. Dr. Avery introduced the newest members to FISH. He indicated that Magus was the new leader with the loss of Agent America. The lead agent asked Magus for a debriefing on their trip to the Domain.
{GM Note: Adamas weakness has come into play. The officials of Earth will not recognize him as leader.. In Earth’s dimension Magus is now the recognized leader of The Team}
Donnah and the three professors were still there. When The Chosen left they started helping patrol the grounds as well. They had started calling themselves the Natural Forces. Donnah explained 2 days had passed since they had gone through the portal before The Team had returned.
Dr. Avery explained they had the rest of the day to recover. They were needed to at CHESS HQ tomorrow. The Domain was invading. A Super Hero Task Force was being formed there to repulse them.
The Cure healed all of their injuries. Magus prepared to use the scroll to undo the transmutation spell but the Natural Forces refused. They knew they were scholars not fighters but they could serve by protecting Dr. Avery. This would free others to join the Task Force
When The Team arrived they were all escorted to CHESS’ largest conference room for the briefing. There were superheroes there that The Team had heard of before. The Amazing Gauntlet was talking with Volcanic Man. The Indestructibles were talking to the newly restarted Super Society and the Valiants.
Shatterman was introducing his teammates, Condor and a guy wearing a red hawk costume to Skyhawk, Magnetor and Kali.
Laserfire blew a soft low whistle. “This is the largest gathering of heroes I have ever seen. What kind of field trip is Co-Director Huffington taking us on?”
As the threat of the Domain grows we are bringing the rest Megalopolis into the story during our annual Megalopolis crossover event. Enjoy introducing yourselves to the other players in the other games. You will be briefed on the World Crisis that is happening by CHESS next issue.
It is time to come up with your team name or you will be introduced as The Team to all the other heroes of Megalopolis.

Yes you go out the way you came in. That means moving through the Crystal Castle then traveling across the Domain back to the Portal. It would take 1 turn to get out of the Castle (if you don't encounter anyone) and 2 turns flying across the Domain to reach the Portal.

Magus simply wants to see the ‘The Team’ make good their exit. In his opinion they have accomplished the mission goal(s) and its time to leave the area before they’re overwhelmed.

Tom, because of the nature of his Weakness; if you find its necessary, by all means give Magus some type of penalty due to the nature of the situation at hand ( i.e. having to deal with the ‘moral conundrum’ I made mention of at the beginning of my response ) and how much time you think he may have needed to come to his decision that he made regarding it. If it is necessary, perhaps a small penalty to his Initiative Roll, maybe a -1 to Hit, etc.
Also, I think I rationalized it out pretty good which person was in the most need of help at the moment . . .
- The Cure appears to be able to escape if she wants to.
- Elwood and Harvey don’t seem to be in any immediate danger.
- Darkstar has safely taken Donna and the other prisoners outside.
- Adamas is cornered by a bunch of really tough demonic bad-guys and taking a solid beating.
- Agent America; although he’s probably in trouble, there is nothing he can do to change his situation at this exact moment and there are other around him that are definitely in need of some immediate assistance.
. . . but if you feel Magus went against the spirit of his Weakness by all means feel free to impose a Saving Throw against his Weakness and let me know which course of action you think he should be following if he fails it. If need be I’ll change / modify my response accordingly.
Seeing how ‘pinned down’ Adamas is – Magus is hoping that by taking out the Changeling, Adamas will be able to fly out of that area unopposed and without difficulty.
If all the other members of ‘The Team’ decide to leave the chamber this turn; following the resolution of his attack, Magus will do the same.

While Adamas is more powerful than the Cure the last turn none of the Boogens hit her and both the Ximix and Sl'sssk hurt Adamas. So I don't see any conflict with his weakness in your actions. Both are in danger and based on how often the Boogen miss, it is easy to determine that Adamas is in more risk that The Cure.
To represent the compulsion of the weakness, I think the -2 to Initiative is appropriate to show that Magus had to spend time determining who is at greatest risk before moving.
