Location:Center City near midnight
Detective Broyko watched the force field disappear. Inside the wrecked Megalopolis PD patrol car his two officers and Dr. Morrow were unharmed. Dr Morrow’s clothes did not match and were a mess. His appearance had nothing to do with having been ambushed by the Crushers and all to do with the fact he was one of those geniuses that couldn’t comprehend the importance of a nice appearance.
Det. Broyko hustled the inventor extraordinaire into the Megalopolis PD Helicopter. “Get him to Crusher Crimewave Task Force Command Center immediately!” The head of the Task Force held onto his hat as the helicopter lifted off. He turned around. A portal appeared surrounding the unconscious Phade. Watching in disbelief the Detective saw him fade away.
Broyko looked toward the ambush site where Dr. Morrow had been rescued by a new team of heroes. He wondered if they were winning the battle with the Crushers.
At the fight, “It’s not time for the seventh inning stretch, so look alive Crushers.” Shortstop said as the darted back and forth across the streets. He pulled another spiked baseball from his sports bag. “Time for a fastball special!”
WHIFF!
“JUST a bit outside!” Shortstop yelled in frustration when he missed Emerald Dragon.
Crater executed a loop –de-loop followed by a barrel roll to move in front of Emerald Dragon. “Come join us. The Crushers are bringing a New World Order where we are worshipped as the gods we are. The infidels who do not bow down will be crushed by our might.”
ZZWWBBT!
Crater blasted Emerald Dragon in the chest. {GM Note: Hit 9 damage, - 8 PP and - 1 HP}
“See it would be better to join us. This is your last warning. Refuse and you will be branded an infidel”.
Hauntress stared in shock at Black Orchid. “You are powerful in spirit. You resisted my embrace. We shall me again and your soul will be mind.” A mist of darkness surrounded Hauntress. Black Orchid was not able to see the ghostly Crusher.
“It worked! I can’t believe it!” Manta Lad laughed.
“Epic fail, dude,” he jeered at Centurion as he flew higher over the battle.
He saw Crater-face was surrounded by Starbolt and the Dragon. Game over. And zombie woman was being schooled in spooky by Black Orchid. Boo-yah. That left the minor leaguer.
The troublemaking teen activated his Lightning Defense and blasted electricity at the electrical line to the building Shortstop was running next two. The directed current overloaded the lighting system and all 5 of the exterior lights exploded. Blasting him with electricity and showering the Shortstop in glass. He was caught by surprise!
Sure, Manta Man had given a lotta lectures on avoiding unnecessary damage to property and stuff, but the kid just couldn’t resist a sweet opportunity like this.
Knowing that the Crushers will not surrender without a fight, the Stellar-Powered Sentinel continued his evasive maneuvers. "No sense letting them get an easy shot off at me." he thought to himself. Starbolt kept his eyes open so that he could assist any of his teammates. He did his best to ensure no civilians are nearby. “We don't need collateral damage or potential hostages." He thought.
The Black Orchid grimly smiled but knew not to get cocky. She got lucky this time, but maybe not the next. "I need to take her down, and fast!" she said to herself. Peering at the cloud of deep darkness, "I can't let you get past me, and I have a feeling I may be one of the few who can actually get to you." Black Orchid focused her powerful will on the darkness. She reached out to it, commanded it to leave and it did. The vicereine of the vacuum was relieved to see that Hauntress was still there.
Both froze in shock because Black Orchid revealed that Hauntress was transforming into Det. Broyko.
The Emerald Dragon pleased with having put Manstar to sleep for now he set his sights on Crater. He picked up a wrecked car and flew over to her, using the car like a baseball bat he planned to send her flying into a nearby wall. "Batter up!" he was heard to shout as he swings the car in an arc.
WHAM!
It was a homerun blast that would have made Josh Hamilton proud. The T.V. show Capes would in a later episode measure the distance to where Crater landed declaring it to be 155 ft.
As Crater was being knocked out of the ambush area another was being thrown in. Archer tumbled toward the rooftop. Using all his agility and training he prepared to land. Archer landed in a perfect roll that would have made a Parkour expert proud. {GM Note: 1 Damage, -1 PP, Archer made his Agility save.}
He still had his bow in his hand but his landing had caused some of his arrows to fall out of the quiver and scatter across the rooftop, one even fell off the roof. {GM Note: Rolled Agility saves for the bow and each arrow individually, Archer’s current condition reflects the number of arrows still in the quiver. None of the scattered arrows are broken and can be picked up with movement only}
Vibron ran down the street to join his fellow Crushers.
The Wraith and Phantom appeared on a street corner. The Wraith surveyed the scene. Wraith caused a nearby manhole cover to suddenly come spinning toward Vibron's head.
WHOOSH!
The manhole covers sailed right through his head without harming him.
The Phantom fired 3 rounds of his readied weapon at Vibron.
BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!
The first two rounds went harmlessly through Vibron and the third stuck solid matter. Vibron twisted from the impact but made no signs of pain.
On the other side of the fight a silent figure flew in. It came to where the location of the prone Centurion, trapped in his own battle suit.
The Midnight Bug hovered over him.

Hmm, maybe Phade got sucked into his own dimensional portal after Batting Boy went through and got lost.
It'd certainly be easy for him to pop back up at any opportune time if/when Wayne comes back.

The troublemaking teen activated his Lightning Defense (but only if it only requires movement to do so) and blasted electricity at the gas tank of the truck next to shorty, hoping a spark would blow it up and catch him by surprise!
(But only if no one is in the truck’s cab, and no one wanders into range of the blast. If that occurs, he’ll just fire directly at Shortstop’s back.)

After swinging at her he will use the remains to block attacks from his front as possible.
OOC: So that should be pretty straightforward. If I did my calculations right he will attack at +1 for his accuracy, +4 for the size/weight of the car, +? if he can catch Crater from behind or flanking. Should do 2d8+5 damage plus another 2d8 for the car. If he hits it could be impressive, we'll see how the dice/bonuses fall. :-)
