Location:
Jacco’s Village Hideout on Easter Island
The battle between the Guardians, the Tarot
Masters, and the Natural Forces raged over ownership of the Soul Scythe. Jacco has
fled the battle into the area beneath the hut in the hidden underground of
Easter Island.
[44] Adamas saw the tides turning, and the
Elementals turning on their former teammates, He turned back to Super Nova,
"Let me know when you are ready to start, I'm getting a little chilly up
here."
Adamas looped around Super Nova smashing him in the back with the
massive boulder he was carrying.
WHAM!
The boulder smashed to pieces as the blow got past Super Nova’s
invulnerability. “YEEARRGGHH!” Super Nova cried out before he blacked out. He
fell to the ground incapacitate.
The Star of the Tarot Master fell to the ground defeated.
[29] Jack
smiled impishly as the newly-freed elementals turned on their would-be master!
“Let that
be a lesson to all you craven, power-hungry wizards: Stop meddling with forces
you don’t understand!” the ancient youth advised as he tore up the scroll of
binding into little bits that he sent scattering on the hurricane’s wind!
Then, as
if to punctuate his words, Jack wrestled control of the weather from the evil
wizard! He rode the wind straight up into the sky, laughing as he tamed a
hurricane!
Jack stopped
the hurricane and moved the weather to a gentle, soft snow flurry with no
winds.
[28] Thunderhead flew upward to
join his teammates. Using the telepathic amulet, he said to them, "I've found something."
Thunderhead scanned the
battlefield and was pleased to see that the Guardians had the upper hand. The
man of yesteryear looked at Red Hawk. "I
came when you called. Where's Xiang?"
Red Hawk replied through the amulet, “Clark, the voices have all seem to left
the Scythe"
“Xing?!”
Thunderhead called out in confusion. His
eyes flashed with electricity and he flew straight upward, growing in size as
he did until he was 24 feet tall! He scanned the hurricane-blasted terrain for
his lost love who had been murdered 83 years ago.
“Xing!”
he called out in a voice like thunder.
The man
of yesteryear came from a more honest time and wasn’t accustomed to being lied
to, least of all by his allies. But it was soon clear, even to
him, that she wasn’t here. Confused by all this, he did the best he could
to help in the battle.
From his
vantage point, Thunderhead would strike where he felt it would most help his
friends, raining bolts of lightning down upon the villains! He watched for Jacco’s return, and
would strike him, given the chance. In Jacco's current mental state, he
would be more dangerous than ever.
Red Hawk said "She's a pain but the Sister is right.
I can't me the right 'man' to be wielding the Scythe. Until we get it back to
Dr. Arcane you have the knowledge and Black Orchid has superior human strength
of will. Maybe this weapon is better suited to be used by another of the
Guardians?"
Clark took the
Soul-Scythe and tried to reach Xing. He knew she was gone.
Lightning rained down on Lord Noman. The bolts struck the Magician
of the Tarot Masters bringing him down in defeat. Lord Noman laid on the ground
incapacitated.
[26] “Give me the Scythe!” cried Sister Indigo as she flew up
Thunderhead. “You are unworthy to hold it! It has to be destroyed. It is too
powerful to be wielded by a mere mortal!”
Sister Indigo circled around Thunderhead as she flew up his 24
foot stature blasting him with spirit bolts. Firing bolts from both hands she
hit him 10 times.
{GM Note: Sister Indigo hit
with 10 spirit bolts for 91 points of damage, -91 HP}
[25] "Oh that will certainly
be enough of THAT!!!!"
With a thought the Golden
Gladiator's armor flexed its magnetic hold on Mutha F.... Superior.
Her armor responded to the magnetic commands and contorted her body into
the fetal position, her arms wrapped around her knees. Her helmet turned
so that she could no longer see. Now with her under better control, he
will now wield his Mother Mace as a weapon.
Through the amulet, CX conveyed, "Keep up the pressure!!!"

Contorted her was an action because she resisted the action. A test of CX’s
Magnetic Capacity vs Mother Superior’s Carrying Capacity, so it was Magnetic
dice vs HtH dice. CX roll the highest}
[25] With great relief, Chris saw the Titan time traveler rise
back from the underground egress. "Hey,
what happened to Jacco?"
Red Hawk used his enhanced sensors to target
Sister Indigo. He fired his Vibratory Blast at her. The first of the dual
blasts struck her force field screen bringing it down. She rolled with damage
that got through it. She continued with the fight and the second blast missed.
[20] Torrent stretched her arm trying to hit
Sister Indigo with a watery fist. Her punch missed.
[19] Seeing
Sister Indigo was still going strong, The Black Orchid concentrated her efforts
on keeping her from getting to Red Hawk.
"If brute
force doesn't get through, this might!" she maneuvered behind and hit
Sister Indigo with her vacuum blast. Sister Indigo cried out from the loss of
power.
After she blasted
her foe, The Black Orchid said through the amulet, "I can take the scythe if you need me to."
Black Orchid took the Soul-Scythe from
Thunderhead. To everyone else on the battlefield it looked like the Soul-Scythe
was floating on its own.
[19] Inwardly pleased that his speech
had gained the team new allies, The Stellar-Powered Sentinel continued his
evasive flight.
"Since
Red Hawk has not given any more direction, I guess that I will freelance this
next part."He thought to himself. Focusing his thoughts through the amulet,
Starbolt told his teammates, "If
anyone needs back-up, let me know."
Seeing that there were only two opponents left,
he decided to attack the one he could see, Sister Indigo, than searching for
the one he could not, Jacco.
Starbolt blasted the Hierophant of Tarot Masters,
incapacitating her. Sister Indigo fell to the ground and was defeated.
[18] Coriolis landed in the hut looking through
the hole in the floor. She could not see Jacco. “Thunderhead, what happened to
Obituary? Is he still a threat?” Coriolis waited for a response.
[18] Quarry joined Coriolis. He looked into the
sky. “Is that really Clark Powers, the famous missing archeologist and
superhero?”
Donnah smiled and chuckled, “Yes, Frank, it is
your childhood hero. He has indeed returned”
[15] Conflagration landed next to Quarry. “Wow, I
did my Doctoral Thesis on his Peru expedition”
Quarry nodded “Yeah, mine was on his China
discoveries”
Both men stared in awe at the archeologist
extraordinaire.

Quarry, and Conflagration all held their action for this turn}
[15] Mother Superior attempted to free herself
but wasn’t strong enough to break CX’s hold.

Tear up scroll, and then fly 500 feet up, into the storm.
Action: Battle for control of the
weather. If Jack wins,
he’ll stop the hurricane and move the weather to a gentle, soft snow flurry
with no winds.

weather control takes only movement, then Jack will blast Noman with his ice
powers before ripping up the scroll and taking flight. Thanks!

will try to use his enhanced sensors to Detect (Hidden) and add his Vibratory
Blast firepower to Adamas in an attempt to finish Supernova.

of that Charisma to help turn the Elementals back to the side of Good after
Jack did his winter thief shenanigans. Kudos to Jeff and Jamie. I'd never had thought
to hide Red Hawk due to my play style so thanks to Orchid/Marc for saving Chris
from becoming Hawk Bacon.

If Black Orchid
didn't want the Scythe, Clark would take it to try to reach Xing.

my laptop in the truck wreck and haven't been able to afford to replace it yet.
Posting from my phone goes me limited options of expression the
<<"message">> was suppose to signify communicating to the
group through the amulets. I usually state my character is focusing on a
particular player character if he wants a private line :-) Dr Arcane reason for
Black Orchid being one of the people he considered for leadership of the team
(willpower) is reason Red Hawk thinks she's probably the best suited to handle
the Scythe. That and she's human. Hawk has some of his own Bladerunner related
android self image issues about not quite being human. Thunderhead knowledge of
the occult makes him next best candidate but he might lack the willpower to
make the Scythe work. That's just guessing though. I was trying to role play
that discussion before we make a decision on who and how we handle our Ultimate
Nullifer (hopefully) weapon and it's use against C'tergorf.
