Crossover: To the Stairs! - Issue 10

Location: Stonehenge, England

The battle against the forces of the Domain and its allies, The Tarot Masters raged. The heroes had successfully destroyed a key part of the Matter Vacuum device. The force field protecting the Matter Vacuum Tower was down. This allowed the heroes to enter from multiple locations instead of a single entrance

The Heroes (Thunderhead, Elwood and Harvey, Adamas, Molecule Man, Dynamo, Skylark, and American Woman) that had been engaged with the initial wave of Tarot Masters Major Arcanna, which everyone referred to as “The Flyers” had defeated all but three of them. These Heroes flew toward the Tower leaving two behind to search for the remaining Tarot Masters

Blastar and Klondike searched the coral for Super Nova, Mother Superior, and Sister Indigo. They were unable to find them and were unaware that Super Nova had already fled the fight. (As seen in Issue #9 of Crossover Event, ~ed.)

Mother Superior and Sister Indigo both decided it was a lost cause and flew away as well.

As the Heroes (Thunderhead, Elwood and Harvey, Adamas, Molecule Man, Dynamo, Skylark, and American Woman) flew toward the Matter Vacuum Tower they passed over two single fighters engaged in a sword duel.

Clank, Clank, swords swiped and parried each other as the two swordsman prepared for their attack.

[32] Lightning Fist found his desired opening first. He attacked with a lower to higher sword stroke. His Katana cut the chin strap on the Knight of Pentacle helmet. The force of the blow knocked his helmet off. Lightning Fist followed the attack up with a step behind sidekick which landed squaring on the Knight’s jaw knocking him out.

THUD!

The Knight landed on the ground incapacitated.

Lightning Fist paused to catch his breath. He pulled a silver shuriken from this belt. Tossing it onto the armored breastplate of his fallen foe he said. “You were a worthy opponent but you are far from being the best swordsman.”

Lightning Fist continued to catch his breath as he surveyed the battlefield in attempt to figure out what he should do next.

The Heroes (Thunderhead, Elwood and Harvey, Adamas, Molecule Man, Dynamo, Skylark, and American Woman) arrived at the Matter Vacuum Tower. In the distance they saw a single hero with a horde of zombies. At the entrance of the Tower they saw other heroes fighting more zombies in an effort to gain entrance into the Tower.

[34] Tomahawk stepped over the Zombie he had defeated. He ran through the doorway into the Tower.

[25] In the distance, as the zombie horde began to circle Phantom, an almost coy yet sadistic smirk ran across his face, "That's it . . . just a little closer . . ." he thought to himself. The hungry swarm of animated flesh began to form a wall around him and he knew it was time to finally execute the final part of his plan . . . he had drawn them in close enough. Using all the strength he could muster, Phantom crouched down and then sprung backward as if he were diving backward into a swimming pool.

As his feet left the ground, the Alabaster Avenger took a grenade from his equipment harness and threw it at the empty space he had just occupied. The grenade tumbled through the air towards it destination like an out of control football. Just as the grenade came within a few feet of hitting the ground, Phantom fired off two pistol rounds at it.

KKAABOOMM!!!

The grenade caught the surrounding zombies in its explosion.

The blast harmlessly passed by the Zombie that was standing in the ash area created by the tank explosion.

The blast caught a Zombie to the west with full force knocking it out.

The blast caught another Zombie to the west with full force knocking it out.

The blast caught a Zombie to the east of the blast with full force knocking it out.

The blast caught a Zombie to the northeast of the blast with full force knocking it out.

The blast caught a Zombie that was northwest of the blast with full force knocking it out.

The blast caught a Zombie that was north of the blast with full force knocking it out.

Phantom’s leap was not far enough to get him out of the blast radius but the blast passed harmlessly below him.

[21] Volcanic Man missed with his punch at the Zombie in front of him.

[19] As the Heroes approached the tower, Adamas used his heightened vision to survey the battlefield, and spotted the surviving zombie from Phantom’s grenade explosion and those in front or behind the Tower.  He fired his power blast autofire style from his eyes power to try to provide some assistance.  Six power blast shot across the battlefield.

The first shot struck the Zombie that was standing in the ash area created by the tank explosion. The shot destroyed the back of the Zombie. It fell to the ground unmoving.

The second shot struck the Zombie on the back side of the Tower. Its head was destroyed. It fell to the ground unmoving.

The third shot struck the Zombie that Volcanic Man was fighting. The blast ripped off the arm of the Zombie but it was still standing.

The fourth shot struck the Zombie that Volcanic Man was fighting. The head of the Zombie was blasted off. It fell to the ground unmoving.

The fifth shot struck the Zombie that Resonator was next to. The head exploded from the blast. It fell to the ground unmoving.

The sixth shot missed the Zombie that was in front of Kali.

{GM Note: Adamas did not received his initiative bonus this turn because he was not moving under his own power but was being carried by Thunderhead}

Thunderhead was pleasantly surprised to meet Psimon in 2013. Unlike Psimon, who was acting as if they hadn't seen each other in 80 years, Thunderhead had just seen Psimon only last month. Still, to see a familiar face in this alien landscape was a welcome development. It didn't last long.

"Disappeared? What do you mean?" Thunderhead asked. But by the time he got the question out, he had already hit upon the answer. He never went back to 1931 because he died, here, in this battle.

This knowledge of his own history, given to him by a man from the future, only made the giant of justice more determined to succeed in his mission. His brow wrinkled in thought, Thunderhead scanned the approaching tower with steely conviction.

As they hurtled to the Tower, Thunderhead asked Adamas and Elwood, "Can we enter it from a higher level? Or attack the Tower itself?"

Flying next to them was American Woman, Dynamo, Skylark, and Molecule Man. Molecule Man had transformed from his Diamond form into his gaseous Hydrogen form.

Dynamo replied instead, “Both courses of action are doable. If we attack the Tower itself we run the risking of it collapsing on our friends and allies inside. I would rather we attack one of the levels.”

American Woman said, “But which one? If we wait to pick one until we can see exactly what the threat is they will be able to shoot at us. I don’t like being shot at; it’s bad for my complexion.”

Molecule Man replied, “Who cares which of the Tarot Masters are waiting for us. Let’s pick one level and start bashing equipment and heads.”

America Woman sighed and looked at Thunderhead, “Do all you men only think with your fists?”

"No," he said to American Woman. "We don't."

American Woman returned a flirtatious smile to Thunderhead’s response.

Skylark replied, “I disagree, a direct forceful approach is a favorite tactic of the Peratonian military. I think it is an appropriate course of action now.”

All four looked to Adamas, Elwood, and Thunderhead for their opinions.

Thunderhead said, "I like the roof... the high ground. We can work our way down as our ground forces work their way up... a vertical pincer movement. We'll squeeze our foes on the middle floors, instead of being squeezed by them. If the enemy charges the roof, those that can't fly will be caught in a line on the stairwell."  The veteran of the Great War looked at his new trench mates to listen to everyone else's input.

To Thunderhead and the new arrivals Adamas said, "I believe we should start at the top and work our way down.  It appears those on the lower floor have done a good job and cleaning it out, and they'll probably soon be moving up.  If we can clear off those ghouls on top, we can meet them in the middle, and focus all of our forces on one battle."

Thunderhead nodded with agreement to attacking the top floor as he hurtled toward the tower at 300 MPH!

The Heroes flew to the top of the Tower.

[18] Enforcer fired his liberated Tarot Master pistol at a Zombie. The enchanted bullet destroyed the head. The Zombie fell to the ground unmoving. Enforcer looked at the pistol. “Not bad balance. The sight is a little imprecise but obviously it gets the job done.”

[17] A Zombie missed with an attempt bite of Kali.

[16] Kali didn’t miss with her power-chucks strike. The Zombie fell to the ground unmoving. “Yuck, I hate fighting undead things.”

[16] Dreamweaver moved to TK blast the Zombie in front of her. She tripped and fell. Her blast shattered the ground between her and the Zombie.

[16] Resonator pointed his palm at the Zombie standing over Dreamweaver. His sonic wave liquefied the upper torso of the Zombie. It fell to the ground unmoving. “I always like to pay it forward.”

[14] The Zombie to the right of Kali attacked her. It missed with its attempted grab.

[10] Evergreen attacked the Zombie which had just attacked Kali. She ran her thorns through its chest. It fell to the ground unmoving. Evergreen stared at it. As plants started to grow from when the thorns had been, she smiled. “Zombies make the best fertilizer.”

The Heroes arrived above the rooftop.

The Domain Demons were being lead by the Northside Abomination {GM Note: Abomination 1 on placing pieces). It carried a large club and was pointing to where the other creatures should be standing. They were readying for the coming attack.

[35] Dynamo said, “I got the gator demon!” She fired two electrical zaps at it. Both struck its armor hard. It rolled with the damage but the armor was damage, revealing gaps which could be exploited in future attacks.

[24] American Woman swooped to the side of the Tower away from the Abominations. “Lets pick off the little ones first.” She fired a light ray at Southside Slime {Slime 1}. Her ray missed.

[21] The Demon XO’J at the farthest north stared its single eye at Thunderhead. It focused it powerful mind. The Psy Blast missed.

[20] Elwood jumped down from Thunderhead’s arms. He quickly ran to hide on the other side of the Tower from the Abominations. He called for Harvey to do the same.

[19] Adamas had Thunderhead toss him toward the west side of the Tower. He landed in front of Elwood using his body as a shield to protect Elwood from any attacks the Slimes might make.

[17] Molecule Man floated over toward the gator demon {Horror}. He reach out both of his gaseous hands. They exploded. The first had ripped more armor off the demon. The second explosion missed causing no damage. “Ha, Now this is a totally different form of gator wrestling.”

[15] The Horror turned its mouth toward Molecule Man. It release a toxic gas from it lungs. Fortunately the gas failed to mixed with Molecule Man hydrogen based gasous form. He was unhurt.

[15] Skylark said, “I rather take out the big’uns first.” She fired her sonic scream at the Crawler. It rolled with the sonic damage.

[13] Slime 1 fired a power blast at America Woman. The blast hit her true and hard. She rolled as best as she could but she was hurt. She signalled to Adamas she could still fight and would continue.

[13] Slime 2 missed with a power blast at Adamas.

[13] The Crawler fired a sonic scream of its own at Skylark. The scream missed her.

[1] As Thunderhead flew down to crash into the nearest Abomination. It had been waiting for the attack. It struck at Thunderhead before he could strike. Its fiercesome punch missed.

[1] Thunderhead crashed into Abomination 2 with his full weight. He powerful fist connected with its jaw. The Demon Prince rolled with the blow and bellowed in pain. It continued to stand and faced his opponent with grim determination. The fight was on.

Below where the Heroes fought on top of the Tower there raged another battle on the ground floor.

[35] Epsilon said, “Keep at it! We are wearing them down!” He fired two TK blasts at the Queen of Swords. Both blasts missed.

[34] Tomahawk came running through the door. “Who needs help?” Condor replied, “Help Magnetor against the Hierophant.” Tomahawk charged the flaming Ace of Swords. He hit with his magical tomahawk. The magical flame aura surrounding Hierophant protected him from the damage. Tomahawk missed with a follow up punch.

[28] Archer used 4 arrows in a dual attack on Snowman. Each attack had a Paralysis arrow and normal arrow. Using his Marksmanship ability he targeted the icy villain in the ear.

TWIP!

The first normal arrow struck Snowman in the ear. It was covered with armor. The arrowed chipped a hole in the armor on the side of the icy villain’s face.

TWIP!

The first paralysis arrow missed.

TWIP!

The second normal arrow missed.

TWIP!

The second paralysis hit. The arrow discharged the chemical mixture in its special arrow head. Snowman gave a slight moan, rolled his eyes, and fell to the ground. He lay on the ground unable to move, paralyzed!

[24] Priestess struggled against the wire cage she was held it. She flexed enough to place a foot of DarkStar’s knee and push up with her hands on his arms. She didn’t pull herself away from him but up toward his face. The Priestess had launched herself to the point where she was eye to eye with Joshua.

She kissed him!

The Cobalt Commander felt the last of his energy drain from him. The Priestess smiled as she fell from the embrace. “That was better than I ever imagined it would have been Joshua. Did that leave you feeling drain?” She asked with an evil smile on her ruby lips.

{GM Note: DarkStar is now fatigued. He immediately receives the following penalties:

1.     All movement is cut to one-half normal speed.

2.     All Basic Characteristics, for purposes of saving throws, are cut to one-half

3.     The Character’s effective Carrying Capacity is cut to one-half.

4.     All damage inflicted is cut one-half, rounded up.

Any further Power expenditures are extracted from the character’s Hit Points now that the Character’s Power is gone}.

[24] The FOUR of Swords missed with a pistol shot at Epsilon.

[24] Condor swooped around. He struck the King of Swords with a punch. He damaged the King’s armor. “It is time for a showdown between the King and I.” Condor laughed at his own joke.

[23] The Knight of Swords missed with a shot at Epsilon.

[22] The NINE of Swords missed with a pistol shot at Epsilon

[22] Black Orchid left the ground floor taking the stairs to the second floor.

[22] Magnetor fired his mag ray pistol at Hierophant. The ray struck the Ace of Swords. The magical flame aura protected him from the damage.

[20] The Queen of Swords missed with a pistol shot at Epsilon

[18] War Wagon fired his liberated Tarot Master’s pistol at the Knight of Swords. His shot missed.

[18] Red Hawk fired a vibe blast at Hierophant hitting him. The vibe blast penetrated the magical flame aura. Hierophant rolled with the blast.

[17] The King of Swords put his pistol away and drew his two handed sword. The swung it at Condor. He hit the armored chest of Condor putting a small slice in the armor. After a moment’s pause, Condor rolled his eyes to the top of his head. He fell to the ground unconscious. He had been paralyzed by the Enchanted Two Handed Sword of Eternal Sleep.

{GM Note: Sword with paralysis carrier attack. Both attacks were successful}

[17] Raven flew toward the side of the King of Swords. He attempted to rake him with both sets of claws on his hands. His attacks missed.

[17] Space Racer sped up from where he was flying. He flew around the room 10 times building speed as he went. After the tenth lap he turned an arc as he flew upon from behind of the Hierophant. With both fists raised he said, “My force field vs. your flame aura, let’s find out which gives in first.”

BLAM!

Space Racer slammed into the back of the Hierophant. The magical flame aura protected only a little. The two warriors collided together in a heap on a ground. Slowly from the flames arose a single figure.

It was Space Racer. He had knocked out the Ace of Swords.

{GM Note: Space Racer moved 480” this turn. He had a -4 to hit but gained 2d10 in velocity damage if successful, which he was}

[17] Slightly frustrated that his and Red Hawk's "Grab-n-Smash" did not work, The Stellar-Powered Sentinel let out an audible "Crap! Not exactly what I was hoping for Red Hawk." Now that Snowman and Hierophant who Red Hawk had attacked earlier were both down. Starbolt flew to better position himself to attack the King of Swords. In the direction his new dance partner faced, Starbolt let loose with a two-fisted blast.

ZWAP! ZWAP!

The first shot missed.

The second hit the King of Swords. It got past the ornamental power armor sticking him hard. The King of Swords rolled with the damage and grunt in pain. He had been hurt but he was still able to fight.

He met Starbolt with a fierce gaze daring him to attack him again.

[15] Seeing that DS was so successful in bashing Bulwark into unconsciousness with the Priestess, CX decided that it’s worth a try himself.  Reaching out with his magnetic control, he took up the still bound Priestess and used her as a lead up the stairs.  The villainess was forced to take point in the zombie filled environment.  CX followed from the foot of the stairs

[14] DarkStar had Cybil inform him of known location heroes with StarCorp comm-devices. Cybil informed him on the location of all heroes except for The Wraith and The Cure. The Wraith had not responded to any communication and the comm. tracking signal could not penetrate all the interference in the area.

The Cure had removed the comm. unit early in the battle. Cybil had lost visual tracking of her during the tank explosion and had never been able to reestablish it since.

DarkStar used Cybil to tap into the floating spy-eyes he sent to the top of the next level. Cybil played back on his gauntlet the few seconds of the shadowy figures on the second. The screen showed a slender female raise her hand. A bright light flashed like lighting then the signal for all the spy-eyes showed a split second of static then nothing. Cybil informed Joshua all the spy-eyes had been short circuited and were inoperable. DarkStar head up the stairs as Centurion X and Black Orchid had done before.

[22] Black Orchid moved up the stairs silently and invisibly. She spotted the Power Generator on the North side of the Tower. She made her way there silently

[21] SIX of Cups detected hidden movement as she passed by him. He turned to alert the King of Cups.

Black Orchid blasted him with her vacuum blast in an effort to silence him. He groaned with being suddenly caught in the freezing cold. While he felt his energy deserting him he had enough to speak.

“King there is someone here with us. We must search for it with our other senses because it has the ability to hide itself from our eyes.” The Six of Cups pointed toward where Black Orchid was standing.

[15] Centurion X used the Priestess as a lead up the stairs.  The villainess was forced to take point in the zombie filled environment.  CX followed from the foot of the stairs.  Seeing another flaming villain make a great target in the low light, he sent the Priestess club up side their...  Well, he was going to get hit with her. Centurion X said, “Well, Miss Holier-Than-Thou, it seems your head makes quite the battering ram.  Let’s see if This-Jerk is any hardier than Bul-Wack."

 WHAM!!!

Priestess missed the Ace of Cups but smashed into the side of the Gravity Generator. She groaned in pain. She yelled to Centurion X, “That the worse you can do metal face? Why don’t you remove your helmet? I promise I can take your breath away like I did for DarkStar.”

[15] Moonflash launched a lightning web at CX. The web missed clinging instead to the column sending electrical sparks off where it touched.

[14] DarkStar looked up from the stair well to see if he could identify what had destroyed his spy-eyes.

I'm absolutely loving the zombie attack on Phantom, Tom! Quick question regarding this statement:

[6] In the swarm a Zombie grabbed Phantom. The savage hands ripped at his armor and Phantom rolled with the damage.

{GM Note: Zombie did 6 damage points: -5 to Armor and -1 to Power Points}

Does this mean that the zombie and Phantom are 'locked-up' together for the moment or was this just a HTH attack that you described as a 'grab'? I'm good either way - I just wanted a clarification; because depending on which situation is actually the case, this will have a big hand ( no pun intended ) in determining what Phantom does next.

-Kev

HtH attack described as a grab. You both are not 'locked-up' together.

IC:  Seeing that DS was so successful in bashing Bulwark into unconsciousness with the Priestess, CX decides that its worth a try himself.  Reaching out with his magnetic control he takes up the still bound Priestess and slams her into the Snowman as they are the only two that CX sees awake.

"Well, Miss Holier-Than-Thou, it seems your head makes quite the battering ram.  Lets see if Snow-Job is any hardier than Bul-Wack."   WHAM!!!

OOC:  A few things could possibly happen here.
1).  2 birds / 1 stone.  CX hits the mark and both fall unconscious.  CX releases the Priestess and will wait to follow DS' lead.
2).  1 Bird / 1 Stone.  Hits successfully but only Snowman is knocked out.  Continues to carry Priestess for use on next target.
3).  1 Bird / 1 Stone.  Part II   Hits successfully but only Priestess is knocked out.  Releases the Priestess and prepares to whack Snow Blower with another attack.
4).  Swing and a Miss.  Unsuccessful attack.  Will continue to hold Priestess to use as a weapon against Snow man or other foe.
5).  Beaten to the punch.  Someone manages to knock out Snowman before CX can act.  Please use the following instead:    Seeing that DS was so successful in bashing Bulwark into unconsciousness with the Priestess, CX decides that it’s worth a try himself.  Reaching out with his magnetic control, he takes up the still bound Priestess and uses her as a lead up the stairs.  The villainess is forced to take point in the zombie filled environment.  CX will follow from the foot of the stairs.  Any villain that presents themselves as a target will get a Priestess club up side their...  Well, they'll get hit with her.  (Hopefully)    Well, Miss Holier-Than-Thou, it seems your head makes quite the battering ram.  Lets see if This-Jerk is any hardier than Bul-Wack."   WHAM!!!

Archer OOC:  Hey woo action all over with good and bad guys dropping left and right. Thunderhead and the coming together of the other heroes might just push the good guys over the top in this battle of attrition.  I have a query Tom. I think I know the answer but want to be sure. Since Archer's trick arrows do not use the carrier attack rule (thus reducing his damage potential with them - which is cool) I ''assume' they attack just as their description. With the caveat their "To Hit" is based on his martial art ability with the bow. Does this mean an attack like the paralysis arrow will bypass things like Armor and Invulnerability. After watching the effects of the Priestess Devitalization Ray on DarkStar it occurred to me there a handful of attacks out there that might bypass his Invulnerability in a similar ish manner.

PS: Where is Cure?  DS could use some big time field support if she is available.

Thanks. Cool issue. Had blast with Adamas playing wack a mole on Supernova.
John

-------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: Just following your lead boss. :)  Hitting him with the cage... brilliant!

Jon

-------------------------------------------------------------
That is true on that alternate attack of an arrow enjoys all the benefits that the normal power has. So paralysis and devitalization arrows would impact the same as that power does itself.

Cure has fled the battle field. No one knows where she is or what has become of her.

OOC: Thanks for the info on the info on the mechanics of the gadget arrows. Joy and bane on one ruling lol. I do love the interpretative nature of the rules of V&V ... some days more, some days less LOL

DarkStar OOC: I need/want to translate some OOC into IC knowledge for DS if possible. Now that Black Orchid has brought down the shields I have two questions. I will be putting all this in a IC Response regardless of your reply. Darn Laptop is down right now though.

1) Using his engineering and tactical knowledge skills with the information he has on the Matter Vacuum, "Does Joshua Rose think it is a good or bad idea too rip out the four pylons on the first floor holding up the Tower?" Player has lost his way in the intricacies of the story and needs the super-intelligence of the character to come into play.

2) After asking for a Roll Call, when Commander Rose task Cybil to locate the non-responsive members of the Guardians (Quest) "How long before he gets an answer from the missing members location? Even not being able to find them this turn will effect Joshua's responses and Actions this Turn. I'd just form the Response right now but my laptop is down and hate trying anything creative on the tiny iPhone screen :-)

Thanks Tom

"No," he said to American Woman. "We don't."

Thunderhead would attempt collect as many of the four new heroes as he could into his titanic grasp (with their permission of course; in order to bestow his Evasion across as many heroes as possible) as he hurtled toward the tower at 300 MPH!

OOC:

Tom, if I'm reading the rules on Size Change correctly, TH's ranges are multiplied by his Height Factor,. Does this mean his vision is like 4X binoculars when he's big?

Either way...

Can you please describe any visible entrances to the Tower?

How many floors does it have?

What activity is visible on each floor, and the "roof," if any?

Thanks. He's looking for the easiest way in (least physical barriers/ least defenders to fight), that is closest to the Matter Vacuum.

Best,

Jeff
-------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: Thanks for the questions.

1. DarkStar realizes it will take 4 turns to rip the 4 pylons (1 per turn because of the distance between them he can't do more than 1 a turn). He knows that doing that will not only bring down the Tower but its collapse will destroy the rest of Stonehenge injuring any allies outside as well as inside.

This would definitely defeat England's objective of using a surgical strike superhero strike team to preserve the historical site and nearby communities.

DarkStar can see that the computer equipment are still receiving power which means there must be more power generators on the upper floors. If one of the power generators would explode with the equivalent force of a small nuclear bomb then bringing the Tower down would trigger at least the equivalent of a large nuclear bomb. Destroying both of the nearby towns of Wiltshire and Amesbury.

2. Because of the Weather conditions including the Fission Fallout Particles it will that Cybil 1 turn to identify all active comm. signals with the exception of Magus and Cure. Because of the Ice impeding with the signal it will take Cybil 2 turns to locate Magus. Cybil will not be able to locate Cure because she removed both her comm unit and amulet. If Cybil tries a Satellite search for her she will have a 20% chance of finding her after 3 turns and it will increase by 5% each turn afterwards. The chance of finding her by Satellite is capped at 75%. Then it takes as long it takes to roll under 75.

OOC: I have attached a view from the side.

With the force field down all floors are accessible. All floors are accessible by open airway, no walls.

There are 4 floors (counting the ground floor as 1).

There are equipment and activity on all floors. You can dimly see grotesque figures moving about on each of its four decks. As far as you can tell the Matter Vacuum is on every floor (all the equipment make up the Matter Vacuum).

Size Change effecting sight, wow, that is a question I haven't thought about. I think vision ability doesn't change unless it is shrinking down to the special categories. I am afraid if the Height Factor is applied to sight then it could be argued to see 4x farther but the flip side he would have difficulty seeing normal things close up because they are so small. Instead of opening that headache, I think vision will be normal with the Height Factor only be used to show the extended movement and reach plus his being easier to hit.

Best

Tom

--------------------------------------------------------------
Quick Clarification: The 4 turns to rip out the pylons wasn't said with the factoring in the amount of damage needed. Depending on rolls for damage it could take longer than a single turn to rip out one pylon

OOC:

Hi

Ok. Thanks.

Does any floor seem to have less grotesque figures than the others? Any grotesque figures on the roof?

All the superhero activity is on the first floor, correct?

Thanks,

Jeff

The roof has the most grotesque and there are 6 of them.

On the other 2 floors (middle two) there are 16 human looking people. the grotesqueness is more attributable to being super powered instead of potentially being Domain Demons like the roof appears to be.

Correct, the Superhero fight is on the first (ground) floor.

OOC: Thanks Tom.

>>Skylark replied, “I disagree, a direct forceful approach is a favorite tactic of the Peratonian military. I think it is an appropriate course of action now.”

All four looked to Adamas, Elwood, and Thunderhead for their opinions.<<

Thunderhead said, "I like the roof... the high ground. We can work our way down as our ground forces work their way up... a vertical pincer movement. We'll squeeze our foes on the middle floors, instead of being squeezed by them. If the enemy charge the roof, those that can't fly will be caught in a line on the stairwell."  The veteran of the Great War looked at his new trench mates to listen to everyone else's input.

OOC:

If we go for the roof, maybe we all save our actions? Then we could all land on the final phase of this turn and BAM, seven heroes with full actions, all ready to go at once. We can each target a different creature on the roof. With any luck, they aren't saving their actions. Thoughts, everyone?

Best,

Jeff

OOC: lmao Tom. Tha is for the input. Will try to slip most that into DS response and action. Please be patient. Until I get my laptop fixed might take a bit to post through my phone.

There will definitely be no yanking and pulling of pylons. While two towns might be a small price to pay to save the world, I don't think we are quite there yet. LOL. Of course CX might have his own ideas (wink ;-) )

@ Jeff - I do not know if it is what you were looking for, but with the right role-play slant the special effect of Thunderhead's "Increased Scale" proportionally increased ranges and areas of effect might work for you. Something I need to remember in AoA for Crude when I get that up again ;-)

Adamas IC: As they approach the tower, Adamas uses his heightened vision to survey the battlefield, and spots Phantom surrounded by the hoard of Zombies.  He will use his autofire to try to provide some assistance.

To Thunderhead and the new arrivals, "I believe we should start at the top and work our way down.  It appears those on the lower floor have done a good job and cleaning it out, and they'll probably soon be moving up.  If we can clear off those ghouls on top, we can meet them in the middle, and focus all of our forces on one battle."

I need more specific details. How much power is Adamas going to spend on the autofire? Is he going to target the zombies farthest from Phantom or is he going to fire right on top of Phantom?

Thanks
Tom

Adamas will go with six blasts around Phantom, Not directly on top of him.

My apologies for nor getting DarkStar or Archer's responses in this issue.  My laptop has been down almost a month and I have been suffering acute back pain for the past two weeks. Trying to Pi anything creative together has been practically impossible due to inability to focus

1) Archer will use 4 arrows in a dual attack on Snowman. Each attack will have a Paralysis arrow and normal arrow. Using his Marksmanship ability he will target the icy villain in the ear. I know the trick arrow won't get a bonus for knockout but the normal one will. This gives him potentially 4 chances to knock Snowman in one go. Cross those fingers.

2) DarkStar will have Cybil inform him of known location heroes with StarCorp comm-devices. Since he usually act last for the heroes he will hold his action until last of the heroes have acted and team up against Snowman combat jumping from above and driving him into the ground if needed. If not needed he will use Cybil to tap into the floating spy-eyes he sent to the top of the next level and head up with whatever other heroes are doing the same

Sorry no soliloquy. Just can't this time
Thanks Again
John

Slightly frustrated that his and Red Hawk's "Grab-n-Smash" did not work, The Stellar-Powered Sentinel let out an audible "Crap! Not exactly what I was hoping for. Red Hawk, let's blast him from opposite sides. He can only face one direction so one of use is bound to get a free shot at his back." While communicating with Red Hawk, Starbolt flies to better position himself to attack. Regardless of which direction his dance partner faces, he will let loose with a two-fisted blast.

Thank you,

Jamey
