Phantom: Down the Hallway - Issue 5

As Phantom drops Hoss he realizes that the second stage of his assault has begun – securing the main hallway. He knows he has to act quickly; he has to keep moving before the other Son of James gang members can get a chance to organize. Chaos, confusion and fear are his strongest weapons at the moment.

As his eyes scan the hallway before him, Phantom thinks to himself, “move . . . have to keep going”. He reaches across his armored vest and pulls another concussion grenade from its punch and pops the pin – TWWANG! As he tosses the explosive device down towards the end of the corridor; he quickly steps into the hallway, turns and looks in to the room to his left.

As the grenade goes off Phantom quickly brings his P90 to bear on Ringo who is hiding behind a wood table. Ringo fires wildly. The Phantom returns fire. Three shots pierce the table.  The crouching cowboy cries out from being hit.  He is hurt badly but tries to aim his pistol again.

Down the hallway, the white dealer of death sees that his grenade has knocked Austin out.  He spots movement on the other side of the doorway. There are two cowboy gangsters trying to shoot at him while hiding around the corner.  The closest, Bobby Ray, is holding a shotgun. BLAM! He fires and hits. Phantom’s armor absorbs the shot [GM Note: 3 damage against Invulnerability. Score is now 2]. The gangster further back with fear in his eyes shoots wild.

Is this the beginning of a counter-attack or the last stand for the Son of James gang?

[GM Note: Ringo gets -2 to be hit for table and Bobby Ray & Rusty get -2 to be for corner of hall]

>PHANTOM’S IC RESPONSE<

As Phantom drops Hoss he realizes that the second stage of his assault has begun – securing the main hallway. He knows he has to act quickly; he has to keep moving before the other gang members can get a chance to organize.

As he tosses the explosive device down towards the end of the corridor ( OOC: down by Austin and Bobby ??? ); he quickly steps into the hallway, turns and looks in to the room to his left.

As the grenade goes off Phantom quickly brings his P90 to bear on Ringo . . .

> PHANTOM’S GOAL(S)<

While keeping the hallway his main focus, Phantom is checking each room that comes off it for gang members – he wants to ‘take the house’ from the rear to the front. The stairs that go upstairs and the second level will be next after he secures the main level.

> PHANTOM’S OOC RESPONSE<

Good thing I decided to re-read the last issue you put out, Tom – I almost forgot about the deadline date.

When Phantom see’s Ringo he’s going to fire three rounds at him. If he survives that he’ll fire another three rounds the next chance he gets. If the first burst of rounds drops Ringo then Phantom will turn his attention back to the hallway and fire a three round burst on anyone he see’s coming down the corridor at him.

This story is going great, Tom – tons of fun! =)

Talk to you all soon,

-Kev
