Crusade: Field Trip - Issue 26

Location: Skyscrapers of Center City

As he fell Mocker stretched out his arms while holding his cape. He straightened his legs and tilted his head.

AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

He let out a sonic scream in a vain attempt to fly.

Starbolt watched Mocker from above. He made sure that Mocker’s fall does not endanger anyone.

The Wraith was falling as well. In the blink of an eye he was gone. The Wraith appeared in the shadows of the doorway of a building facing the street. He watched Mocker smash to the ground.

CRASH!

The mimicry menace shattered into multiple pieces in the rollway. The smiling head of the Leader of the Crushers rolled toward The Wraith. It came to a stop at the sidewalk curb.

The Black Orchid didn’t see any other villains. She immediately zoomed down to the entrance of the Crusader building. There she assessed the damage done to the lobby entrance.  The lobby area had been destroyed by multiple lightning strikes. Several Megalopolis SWAT team members lay unconscious on the ground. Black Orchid helped them with their injuries.

A few minutes later Detective Broyko walked through the stairway door. He had been down in the basement disabling the Harmon Building generators. “Did we win?”

<Reply?>

Manta Man flew from the Crusader Citadel looking for Mocker, Starbolt and The Wraith. Tomahawk had arrived on the roof of the Harmon building with Raijin with him. Black Orchid had informed them of her administering aid to the MPD SWAT team. The CHESS Knights had been summoned to CHESS HQ. In fact all Knight and Bishops were in route to the Megalopolis CHESS HQ.

Manta Man spotted Starbolt and what remained of Mocker. He signaled for Starbolt to join him at the crushed Crusher. When both had landed Manta Man said, “Help me gather up the pieces of Mocker. Good job out here, thanks.”

“We need to get him back to the Citadel. We will have to bring the captured Crushers to CHESS HQ. Something big is happening. Besides summoning all CHESS personnel we have been requested to join them as well.”

“Please contact The Wraith as well. We will need his help too.”

<Replies?>

Manta Man and Starbolt worked quickly together gathering up Mocker. Soon all of them, including the captured Crushers are in two Crusader Shuttles. They flew quickly to CHESS HQ. Blizzard set next to Starbolt. Looking his cousin in the eyes he said “thanks”.

When they arrived CHESS Rooks quickly secured the Crushers. The superpower villains were escorted to the containment cells. The Crusaders and the young heroes were all escorted to CHESS’ largest conference room for the briefing.

There were superheroes there that Starbolt, Black Orchid, Tomahawk, and The Wraith had heard of before. The Amazing Gauntlet was talking with Volcanic Man. The Indestructibles were talking to the newly restarted Super Society.

Shatterman was introducing his teammates, Condor and a guy wearing a red hawk costume to Skyhawk, Magnetor and Kali.

Laserfire blew a soft low whistle. “This is the largest gathering of heroes I have ever seen. What kind of field trip is Co-Director Huffington taking us on?”
This concludes the Crushers Crimewave saga.

Now we are transitioning to our annual Megalopolis crossover event. Enjoy introducing yourselves to the other players in the other games. You will be briefed on the World Crisis that is happening by CHESS next issue.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Wraith will teleport down to street level--in the shadows--and watch Mocker smash to the ground.

If that's the end of the Vocalizing Villain, so be it.  If not, Mocker will remain in the shadows and (if possible within the same round) cause a manhole cover to come flying up from the street and smash into him.

Patrolling the Streets (and finally at street level again!)

The Wraith
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Black Orchid doesn't see any other villains (I believe), so she immediately zooms down to the entrance of the Crusader building to assess the damage done there and helps out unless someone call her out to get her faster speeder.

Marc

Starbolt will ensure that Mockers fall does not endanger anyone. If it does he will alter Mockers fall so that he doesn't hit anyone.

Codename: Red Hawk: Field Trip - Issue 10

Location: Memorial Park in Our Fair City

The Bishop introduced himself. His codename is Prince.
Bishop Prince, Shatterman, and Red Hawk walked toward the entrance of the park as they explained to the CHESS agent the details of the bomb threat and the ambush.

"Den ... er ... Shatterman, I think I hit one of these officers trying to take the woman with the gun down." Running over to the police he tried to see if there is anything he could do to help. "What happened? What was all this about? I don't understand why they did this? It's just a park." Chris rambled a bit nervously. "I'm going to beat the asphalt from that little dark dwarf next time I see him." Suddenly realizing Brian was nowhere in sight,  "Shatterman, where is Condor?"

Shatterman looked around in a panic then flew off in the direction of the lake. Before Red Hawk could follow Bishop Prince placed his hand on this shoulder to stop him. “Sorry, I have a few more questions for you. I will have the Knights and Rooks help Shatterman find Condor.”

“Of course. I feel like I should have done so much more, anything I can do to help.”

As Prince spoke into his comm. unit giving instructions Red Hawk understood the reason the CHESS Bishop had stopped him. Several policemen were looking on him with hostility. Officer Kyle Worth started screaming for Red Hawk to be arrested for assaulting a police officer. Officer Henry Riley stepped between Kyle and Chris. He gently guided Officer Worth a few steps away from the situation. He explained that it is a CHESS affair. He can file the complaint for being assaulted but the MPD cannot make the arrest. After he calmed down, he indicated he did want to press charges.

Bishop Prince let out a heavy sigh. “Okay, let’s get the facts straight. First Red Hawk helped with getting the civilians out of danger from the bomb?” Officer Riley agreed. It was he that had been with Red Hawk at the locked gate. “But the gate wasn’t really locked. It was an illusion.”

“But later a woman came running up to Officer Worth claiming Red Hawk was chasing her trying to hurt her?” Officer Worth nodded in agreement.  The Bishop turned to Red Hawk, “Is that true were you after her?”

“Absolutely. She was working with the rest of the BAD guys.

“The little guy was creating illusions all over the place. I had just dealt with an image of American Woman moments before. I would never had fired at her if I had known there were real police officers around her. I’d have went in hand to hand and tried to snatch her from above.”

Prince looked to Officer Riley. “Did you believe what she said? That Red Hawk was attacking civilians?”

Officer Riley mumbled. “Well, yes. She was very persuasive”

Prince looked at everyone in turn? “Anything else you can tell me about her?”

Shatterman and the Knights at this point returned with Condor. He was found unconscious near the lake. It appeared he had been in it when the explosion had occurred.

Prince spoke to the Officers.”Thank you very much gentlemen. Officer Worth if you want to file the complaint please come down to CHESS HQ when you are able.”

The Bishop instructed the Rooks to take Condor to the third van. He would be provided medical attention. “Red Hawk you are not under arrest. This is a procedural matter will have to follow but it will be more like an inquiry against your DSA Superhero License as oppose to arresting a criminal for assaulting a police officer. I do need you and Shatterman to come to CHESS HQ with me.

“I have the remains of this bomb. There remains of a different bomb that was set off in Center City. DeathKite will need interviewing. Finally there is a case file on B.A.D you can have access to if you’re interested”.

“I will bring Condor in the van so the CHESS doctors can fix him up.”

“Will you come?”

After looking at Dennis to see if it was the right thing to do Red Hawk nodded and answered, “Certainly, Shatterman if you don’t mind, I’ll follow along in just a minute.” Uncertain of what he was trying to accomplish, Chris just ‘knew’ he couldn’t leave without trying to do something to make up for his mistake.

Seeing the anger still expressed on some of the police, Red Hawk walked up to the Officer who had interceded earlier. “Officer Riley? I’d apologize to Officer Worth, but he doesn’t look receptive at the moment … and I don’t blame him. I can only promise you I will continue to train with Condor and Shatterman every day to get better.”

“That is all we can ask of any of us isn’t it, Red Hawk? Don’t worry too much about this. Dealing with B.A.D. Momma is frustrating. It is not the first time she has hood winked us. That makes it easy to lash out at others for another failure in bringing her in. Just give the others some space and anything you can do to help bring B.A.D. down will help this pass.

Red Hawk joined Shatterman and Condor for the ride to CHESS HQ. DeathKite was escorted to the containment cells. To escort the three heroes to the lab area was Knight Seth Demaris. “It will be a few hours before DeathKite is processed. When that is done you will be able to interview him if you like.”

“We have taken the bomb components to Lab 1. You are welcome to assist in the assessment of it.”

“We also have the remains of another bomb in Lab 2. It was set off in Center City. You are welcome to review it to see if there might be any connection to the two.”

When they arrived at Lab 1 they were introduced to Rook level technical agent Stuart Getman whose specialty is chronological physics and Rook level technical agent Phoebe Lynd. She is a leading expert in particle physics.

Unfortunately before they could start the research, Knight Demaris’ comm. unit signaled the utmost priority code. He stepped outside the lab for a brief moment. Coming back into the room he expressed his apologizes but CHESS and the DSA are activating the Earth Protection Clause in the Super Hero Act. The three heroes are needed immediately in another part of headquarters. They will be met there shortly by the Co-Director of CHESS, Alexandria Huffington.

Red Hawk, Shatterman, and Condor were escorted to CHESS’ largest conference room for the briefing.

There were more superheroes there than Red Hawk even knew existed. He saw the members of the Super Society talking to a group of heroes he had never seen before.

Shatterman guided him over to three heroes. “Condor and Red Hawk I would like you to meet Skyhawk, Magnetor and Kali. We were spotlighted in Capes magazine. Kali’s article was on the stresses and issue with reformed villains going straight. Skyhawk’s was on the fine line a vigilante walks between hero and villain. Magnetor was on international heroes and what that is like. Of course mine was about what it was like to carry on the mantle of a legendary Super Hero. Remember Condor you had turned down the interview.”

Condor replied, “Yeah I remember. It is a pleasure to meet all of you.”

Red Hawk saw a new group of heroes enter the room. Some of them looked familiar. He had seen their photos on newscasts. They had been missing during the Crushers Crimewave.

The one which the newscasters had called Laserfire blew a soft low whistle. “This is the largest gathering of heroes I have ever seen. What kind of field trip is Co-Director Huffington taking us on?”
This is a pause in the B.A.D. saga because we are transitioning to our annual Megalopolis crossover event. Enjoy introducing yourselves to the other players in the other games. You will be briefed on the World Crisis that is happening by CHESS next issue.

<Red Hawk IC: Response and Actions>
Looking into the sky at the spectacular arrival of the Knights and Rooks, Red Hawk can’t help but think, CHESS . . . awesome.

Quest: WHOUMP There It Is! - Issue 30a

 Location: Domain inside the Crystal Castle.
Adamas again took in the battlefield with his enhanced speed.  The Cure appeared to be holding her own with one XIMIX, and Dark Star had the other... Elwood now had the fifth scroll; Adamas thought back to the one given to them by Dr. Avery, maybe it could help the elementals.  The elementals seemed to be gaining some control of themselves with the bonds broken; only Stone appeared to still be under Occult's sway.  All that left was the hoard of Boogens.

Adamas flew down and smashed the bracelets on Stone. The release from the enchanted bonds transformed Stone and freed him from Occult’s mind control.
Turning to Wave, Breeze, and Flame, "We are here to help you.  We want to get you home, and then we'll see what we can do about getting you back to normal.  Right now, we need you to come with us.  Donnah, if you can understand me.  Please help us, everyone gather together here, and DarkStar will get you out of here," Adamas pointed at the Blue Behemoth.

Struggling with monstrous Ximix, Joshua was preparing to toss the creature into a group of Boogens, His brow sweating from the battle and the strain of exertion in his voice, glanced at his combat companion, "Really? I'm a little busy over here?" Sigh ... "Take out the two Big Ones ... Take out the civilians," I can't imagine why I ever started up a 'delivery service'.

In a soft muffled tone Mary lets out a grunt under her breath. A rush of pain shoots through her body. The Boogen’s blade caught her by surprise. Still soaked from the Elemental attack she banked high right away from the gang of Boogens and survey the battle field. It seemed the "Team" had freed 3 of 4 Elementals from Occult’s spell after Adamas took out Occult but none of her henchmen have yet to fall. Using the amulet to communicate with the Team "I'm going to take out big ugly then see if that's AA and try to...." Mary was cut off by the booming voice of Adamas.

Adamas yelled. ”Cure, Get Harvey!  Magus, Secure Occult!  Elwood, How about a distraction!"

Still using the amulet "That's a negative Big A. Can't get a 6ft rabbit that's non corporal and invisible and stop using our names out loud. You don't know who's listening in even when using the amulets. I'll meet you over by Ion. If it's AA I can heal him."

The Cure fired two Latarium blasts at the XIMIX the first missed the demon but the second hit. The XIMIX fell to the ground incapacitated.

Two of the Boogens saw Occult stand up. She called out to them "To me my silly minions!  Bring it in and take a knee whilst I commune with the great and powerful pooka god!  Quickly now!  Come to me!" The two Boogens ran over to their mistress. They took a knee to begin communing with the pooka god.

Wave looked around hesitantly. She moved toward Flame, Stone, and Breeze.

The two Boogens in the north of the Crystal Castle ran to pick up their spears. They threw the weapons at The Cure missing her.

With the ancient scroll in hand, Elwood got himself up and headed over to his newest teammate, Magus.  "This seems better suited in your possession," handing the scroll over.  Nearby, the creature called Flame ascended the steps which gave Elwood a start.  "Friend of yours?" he asked Magus sheepishly.

Donnah moved toward Wave, Flame, and Stone.

At this point Adamas was shouting directions, "DarkStar, get these civilians someplace safe, and then come back for the rest of us!

DarkStar ran to the Natural Forces. He positioned himself between the four elementals; Joshua slipped the amulet back around his neck. In a voice as loud as his thunderous chest can bellow, "Anyone wanting to return to Earth gets one chance to grab a seat on the DarkStar express." Rose can't help but remember...

Don’t assume everyone is your enemy or they will become so.
Don’t assume everyone is your ally or you will be betrayed.

That goes double for you DarkStar . . . Doc don't you know better than to feed the monkeys?

 *WHOUMP*

DarkStar and the Natural Forces appeared 10 feet from the original point that The Team had arrived at. In the distance they could see the open portal. DarkStar turned to the Earth Elementals.
Before he could speak they heard movement nearby. Obscured by the foliage they could see they were short creatures about 3ft tall moving toward them.  In the Domain size meant nothing when determining lethality was concerned. From within the Forest of Crystal Trees emerged a pack of Ghouls.
There were 9 in all. DarkStar quickly placed himself between the pack and the rescued Professors and Donnah. DarkStar told them to get through the portal while he held the Domain predators off. The lead Ghoul leapt at DarkStar. The Cobalt Commander slammed his massive fist into the diminutive creature. Its thick fur protected it, dampening the blow.

{GM Note: Its fur acts as armor. So it has an ADR and DarkStar hit its armor}

The Ghoul raked DarkStar’s chest with its claws.

{GM Note: Ghoul #1 does 16 damage points: -16 to Invulnerability.}

Stone and Flame moved quickly across the landing zone clearing. DarkStar saw them exit through the portal.

{GM Note: Breeze and Wave used their movement earlier in the turn so they will have to wait until the next turn to move through the portal}

DarkStar felt like he heard the wind call to him in concern as the rest of the Ghoul pack swarmed over him. A second attacked from behind leaping onto his shoulders. The Ghoul bit him on the neck.

{GM Note: Ghoul #2 does 9 damage points: -9 to Invulnerability.}

DarkStar sidestepped the charge of the next Ghoul. Its claws barely missed his stomach.

{GM Note: Ghoul #3 missed. No damage points}

DarkStar spun around as a Ghoul raked it claws across his lower back.

{GM Note: Ghoul #4 does 8 damage points: -5 to Invulnerability and -3 to PP.}

Another Ghoul sank its fangs into DarkStar’s right thigh.

{GM Note: Ghoul #5 does 15 damage points: -10 to PP and -5 to HP.}

On his other side a Ghoul raked DarkStar’s left arm with its claws.

{GM Note: Ghoul #6 does 14 damage points: -9 to PP and -5 to HP.}

A Ghoul with patchwork fur leaped onto his chest raking his claws across his face. Fortunately DarkStar’s goggles protected his eyes.

{GM Note: Ghoul #7 does 10 damage points: -8 to PP and -2 to HP. No real protection from goggles ~ just flavor}

An unseen Ghoul raked the back of DarkStar’s calf muscle, causing him to lose his balance. The weight of the pack knocked him down onto his back.

{GM Note: Ghoul #8 does 15 damage points: -7 to PP and -8 to HP. Roll a natural 1 on the ‘to hit’ roll. The benefit is the knock down. DarkStar cannot roll with damage while he is swarmed on the ground with the pack on top of him}

The last Ghoul in the pack savaged DarkStar’s stomach with claws and fangs.

{GM Note: Ghoul #9 does 13 damage points: -13 to HP.}

Within the wind swirling around him DarkStar heard a scream.

Changes Characters stats while in Domain

DarkStar – Agility is 11, Carrying Cap is 27,696, and HtH is 3d10

QUEST
Current Conditions:
DarkStar                       Hit Points: 50    Power Points: 78           Invulnerability: 0    Knocked Down can’t roll with Damage

-------------------------------------------------
Great work Tom! I was wondering how much damage does the suit take? Am I leaking radiation? If so how much? Also do I have 2 actions to use since I only used 1? I'll give my action(s) after you let me know.

OOC: Should we have the elementals fight with us? It would even up the numbers. If DarkStuff or MagNuts can free the last one even better. As far as a plan of action...let's see what Big A has in mind.

Larry
----------------------------------------------------
GM: You have 1 action because The Cure fired on the XIMIX twice. The ADR of the suit was reduced from 110 to 108. I am not counting as rolling damage as lower ADR. So the suit is not leaking.

Best
Tom
--------------------------------------------------
Thanks Tom. I wasn't sure because you didn't say if I hit or missed on what would have been the first attack.

IC:In a solf muffled tone Mary lets out a grunt under her breath. A rush of pain shoots throught her body. The Boogens blade caugth her by surprize. Still soaked from the Elemental attack she banks high right away from the gang of Boogens and survey the battle field. It seems the "Team" has freed 3 of 4 Elementales from Occults spell after Adomas took out Occlult but none of her henchmen have yet to fall. OOC:So I'm fling as high as I can and right away from the Boogens then a double blast at the XIMIX.I then what for Adamas by Ion/AA. Jon I would have just told you to change what you said but this could be more fun for the story.

Larry
--------------------------------------------------
Agreed!

Jon
-------------------------------------------------
Lots of cool action Tom

I have a follow up question. If I remember right the interaction with Donnah all counted as movement do DarkStar should have a second Action saved up? If so I want him to teleport the out dropping  the Xinix (sp?) into the wilderness then back right behind Stone. That is if he has the actions to do that?

Thanks for the fun
John R
------------------------------------------------
GM: Wrapping the Amulet around Donnah's wrists and the bracelets was movement. DarkStar braking the bracelets was his first action of the turn.
So DarkStar has 1 action this turn. So he can't teleport out and back this turn.

Best
Tom
------------------------------------------------
I've got a few of questions for you, Tom.

Do Wave and Flame see hostile at this point? Are they just standing there confused or do they seem in control and somehow aligned with one group or the other?

My Adaption Defense is active correct?

Would Magus be familiar with the spell Occult used on Donnah and the other three people? If so, what does he know about it?

-Kev
--------------------------------------------------
Do Wave and Flame see hostile at this point? No

Are they just standing there confused? More in turmoil from the physical change

Do they seem in control and somehow aligned with one group or the other? At the end of the turn they appeared in control. No appearance of alignment with any group at this time.

My Adaption Defense is active correct? Yes

Would Magus be familiar with the spell Occult used on Donnah and the other three people? He knows they were ancient (2000 years) scrolls which combined to create transmutation spell which could change the properties of a person to a reagent. The main scroll was the incantation spell and the each of the 4 scrolls magically contain the reagent used in the transmutation. It is written in an ancient that Magus knows but translating the scroll would take an action (because of time and intellect)

Tom
-----------------------------------------------------
Ooc:  Harvey's goal is to fool the remaining creatures, so they cease attacking The Team.  He will create an illusion over Occult, making her appear as though she is back on her feet and giving new orders to her gang of domain monsters.  "To me my silly minions!  Bring it in and take a knee whilst I commune with the great and powerful pooka god!  Quickly now!  Come to me!"

Ic:
With the ancient scroll in hand, Elwood gets himself up and heads over to his newest teammate, Magus.  "This seems better suited in your possession," handing the scroll over.  Nearby, the creature called Flame ascends the steps which gave Elwood a start.  "Friend of yours?" he asks Magus sheepishly.

----------------------------------------------------
OOC: Great job everyone!  Way to go with the quick responses looks like the early edition took us all by surprise.  Tom, loving all of the artwork, the color pics, the cover art, and the maps all really bring things to life.  Fantastic!

IC: Adamas again takes in the battlefield with his enhanced speed.  The Cure appears to be holding her own with one XIMIX, and Dark Star has the other... Magus now has the fifth scroll, Adamas thought back to the one given to them by Dr. Avery, maybe it could help the elementals.  They elementals seemed to be gaining some control of themselves with the bonds broken, only Stone appeared to still be under Occult's sway.  All that left was the hoard of Boogens.

Adamas flies down and smashes the bracelets on Stone.  Turning to Wave, Breeze, and Flame, "We are here to help you.  We want to get you home, then we'll see what we can do about getting you back to normal.  Right now, we need you to come with us.  Donna, if you can understand me.  Please help us, everyone gather together here, and Darkstar will get you out of here," Adamas points at the Blue Behemoth.

At this point Adamas is shouting directions, "Cure, Get Harvey!  Magus, Secure Occult!  DarkStar, get these civilians someplace safe, then come back for the rest of us!  Elwood, How about a distraction!"  At the same time, Adamas will fly to the back of the room, free their companion in disguise and bring him to the center of the room.   If anyone needs assistance or if anyone gets in his way he will use his Power Blast to clear the path.

OOC: Go TEAM! (gotta do something about that name)

Jon

OOC: but ... but ... I want to play with the Ximix some more. Dang can't have no fun. LOL   Doing great Jon.

Nicely done Jon.

Thx, except for the Elwood/Harvey thing... And the fact that I totally forgot about the name thing...

Jon

Jon you're LEADING. That's what I've been looking for from the Team Leader. Everyone drops the ball here and there. You're doing great. That's my 2 cents... spend it as you like.

> MAGUS’S IC RESPONSE <

At this point Adamas is shouting directions, "Cure, Get Harvey!  Magus, Secure Occult!  Darkstar, get these civilians someplace safe, then come back for the rest of us!  Elwood, how about a distraction!"  At the same time, Adamas will fly to the back of the room, free their companion in disguise and bring him to the center of the room.

Seeing Adamas quickly take charge of the situation at hands brings a sense of renewed belief to Magus. He finally sees Adamas trusting in himself, pushing the limits of his full potential, and embracing his own preordained destiny. In that brief moment his mind reaches out to Dr. Arcane and he somberly relays a very simple; yet ominous, message, “ . . . Adamas is awakening.”

That moment is fleeting however, as an unexpected sense of dread takes hold of the mystical guardian of the multiverse – something feels terribly wrong. Magus forebodingly whispers aloud, “Something about all of this feels wrong.” A sudden sense of epiphany manifests itself as he replays in his mind what had just transpired only moments ago . . .

 . . . Occult finished her incantation. She looked up. She quickly saw through the illusions. “You dare try to fool me with mind tricks. I am the Master of the Mind. Fools we are under attack. Look around you. Defeat them.” . . .

“. . . this has all been entirely too easy” , he whispers aloud. Magus then thinks to himself, “She had years to prepare for this moment, too much to loose . . . something is so very wrong with all of this.” As Adamas starts to make his way towards the back of the room, Magus flies towards the ceiling at the center of the chamber and looks in the direction of the imprisoned Agent America ( OOC: employing his Heightened Sense of Reality to determine if what is really imprisoned back there is AA or something else entirely ).

If it appears to be Agent America –

Not seeing an immediate threat in his imprisoned teammate, Magus turns his attention back to the indoor battlefield and whispers to himself once again, “ . . . what am I missing?” Not wanting to loose the upper hand in his teams conflict, Magus wastes no time aiding his dimensionally displaced teammates. ( OOC: At this point Magus will ‘fill in’ where needed most. His priorities in order of preference are: dispelling the magic on the remaining elementals bracelets, aiding in the evacuation / team egress, ‘taking out’ any pesky demon creatures ).

If it doesn’t appear to be Agent America -

Seeing through the deception before him, Magus shouts out mentally to Adamas, “Adamas! Get down!” With a sense of dire urgency, the champion of the macrocosm reaches out with both of his hands and fires a double burst of mystical energy ( OOC: dual attack with his Mystic Bolt spell ) at the imposter before him.

> MAGUS’S GOAL(S) <

Magus wants to tie-up all the ‘loose ends’ in the room before ‘The Team’ makes their exit.

> MAGUS’S OOC RESPONSE <

Everyone else have their responses in already? If so – any chance for another ‘Early Issue Release’?

Tom, let me know if you need anything else form me for this turn. Some clarifications maybe?

Talk to you all soon,

- Kev

DarkStar Smash

John
----------------------------------------------------------
Jon, I have a quick question.  Adamas refers to 2 different situations.

"Dark Star has the other (XIMIX)..."

"DarkStar, get these civilians someplace safe, and then come back for the rest of us!"

Does Adamas intend for DarkStar to defeat the XIMIX then transport or abandon the XIMIX to the rest of the team to teleport the civilians out?

Thanks
Tom

The first was an observation, the second a request. ;)

Jon
------------------------------------------------------------
DarkStar, get these civilians someplace safe, then come back for the rest of us!

DarkStar IC: Struggling with monstrous Ximix, Joshua is preparing to toss the creature into a group of Boogens, His brow sweating from the battle and the strain of exertion in his voice, glancing at his combat companion, "Really? I'm a little busy over here?" Sigh ... I can't imagine why I ever started up a 'delivery service'.

 ... to be continued.

Kudos Jon

The first was just an observation.  His goal is to save the civilians.

We have what we came for, let's bugout.

Our goal was never to come in and battle with these guys.

Jon

Agreed

DarkStar, get these civilians someplace safe, then come back for the rest of us!

DarkStar IC: Struggling with monstrous Ximix, Joshua is preparing to toss the creature into a group of Boogens, His brow sweating from the battle and the strain of exertion in his voice, glancing at his combat companion, "Really? I'm a little busy over here?" Sigh ... "Take out the two Big Ones ... Take out the civilians," I can't imagine why I ever started up a 'delivery service'.

*whoump*

Using a combat jump to position himself between the four elementals, Joshua slips the amulet back around his neck and looks for a chance to crush the bracers on Stone's wrist. At the very worse I grab him and we get them off later. Then in a voice as loud as his thunderous chest can bellow, "Anyone wanting to return to Earth, gets one chance to grab a seat on the DarkStar express." Rose can't help but remember ...

Don’t assume everyone is your enemy or they will become so.
Don’t assume everyone is your ally or you will be betrayed.

That goes double for you DarkStar . . . Doc don't you know better than to feed the monkeys?

OOC: As much as I'd like to teleport everyone out this turn I couldn't get in position with them spread out - according to our last issue. So I'm hoping the seemingly bewildered souls will gravitate to DarkStar's call and he can do a real Teleport next issue. (No combining Combat Jumps and Teleports if I remember right, right Tom?) If DarkStar doesn't get a chance to crush Stone's bracers then I'll (preferably) save that Action til next Turn.

PS: Glad someone is checking on AA/Ion. I agree though the odds in a fight are rough Ximix is no joke) this is too easy, heads up all. I can see a curve ball coming.
